About the Event

This event is being hosted by the Greater Williamsburg HEARTSafe Alliance with the primary goal of promoting CPR and AED training to the community. The event will bring together citizens of James City County, York County, City of Williamsburg and City of Poquoson to engage in a mass CPR/AED training as well as take part in a walking event throughout the area. Along with those main events we will be hosting a health expo that will feature fitness companies, healthcare partners, heart healthy food vendors, and local business partners. We will also be featuring a local musical artist during the health fair.

Local CPR Certification Options

The mission of the Greater Williamsburg HEARTSafe Alliance is to SAVE LIVES by improving the survival rate of sudden cardiac arrest in James City County, York County, City of Williamsburg, and City of Poquoson. The Alliance works to exceed standards of engagement through citizen education, hands-only CPR training and awareness of AED access while promoting a healthy community.

 

HEARTSafe CPR/AED training will not result in professional certification and is not appropriate for those occupationally required to have CPR/AED training.
